When to Trim

• Oaks: Avoid trimming February through June (oak wilt season in Oklahoma). Late summer through early winter is optimal.
• Most species: Late fall through late winter (dormant season) is ideal for major work. Light hazard removal can happen any time.
• Emergency: Storm-damaged or cracked limbs should be addressed immediately regardless of season.

Can trimming save a declining tree?
